Time travel is the theme for this year's Christmas calendar 'Tidstjuven'"
SVT's 2025 Christmas calendar promises a "fast-paced time travel through history".
The cast includes Simon J Berger, Maja Rung, Lisette T. Pagler and Inger Nilsson. The film is directed by Calle Åstrand, who also made "Mirakel" (2020) and "Håkan Bråkan" (2003).
This year's advent calendar is about Clint, 11, who hates Christmas since his father disappeared on Christmas Eve. A mysterious man gives Clint a timepiece and through it he sees that his father seems to be stuck in ancient times.
Filming started on Monday, January 27th in Västervik. The story is also being filmed in Stockholm and on Gotland.

Ghosts and ghost hunters in this year's radio advent calendar
“Spökjul på Dimmeborg” is the name of the 2025 Christmas calendar from Barnradion. It is about Sam and Disa, both twelve years old but one of them is alive and the other is a ghost. Last year, the radio's Christmas calendar broke previous years' listening records by a wide margin. This year, Barnradion celebrates 100 years with a creepy and humorous adventure written by Ida Kjellin - about the living and the dead and everything in between.
Sam and his influencer family move into the boarded-up Dimmeborg castle. The family calls themselves the “Ghost Hunter Family” and has a channel where they travel around pretending to look for ghosts in various haunted places. Now they will celebrate Christmas at Dimmeborg and promise their followers “cozy and chills all December.” Sam has been famous since birth and feels more and more that he wants to get away from celebrity and be himself.
But the castle is actually home to a whole bunch of ghosts. One of them is Disa, who was a maid at the castle 100 years ago and she is not happy that a living boy is coming to take over her room...
